Its normal for your rug to pick up dirt and dust overtime. An easy way to clean that is to vaccuum the rug every once in a while. An alternate to vaccuum is to shake the rug vigorously outdoors to remove any loose dirt. If you ever happen to spill liquid and stain the rug, start by blotting on the stain with a dry cloth or paper towel. If you still see the stain, it is okay to use a little bit of mild soap (preferably shampoo since we are using it on real hair) and water. If you notice the rug developing smells overtime, try spreading deodorant powder for sometime and vaccuumimg later on.

Usually when the rugs are laid out flat, the crease decreases. But if that doesn't help, try rolling the rug out and keeping it rolled for a few days.
